So what does Carter Moon look like? Well, I see Carter as a clean shaven man, with a strong jaw, and shoulder length hair. Immediately, I asked myself, "Who would play him?"
Maybe it was the hair length, and maybe it was one of his last roles, but Heath Ledger came to mind. So, that's where I started. I can actually see a little bit of Ledger's face - R.I.P.- in the profile drawing with the hat, to the point where it's spooky. Well, that's who I was looking at, while drawing.
Normally, I'd choose an actor from the 50's or something, some one less recognizable, and I might in the future, but again, this is the beginning of thinking about a character's appearance. Speaking of which, a tie didn't seem to fit Carter. A scarf might work, and I won't rule it out, but I decided to try a fully-buttoned shirt, under an overcoat with just the top button done. I like the look, but it'd get in the way of an equipped gun belt.
You could sweep the overcoat behind the guns, though. So maybe that is the answer. Anyway, I thought you all might enjoy a brief look inside my skull.
